Clothe yourselves with humility toward one another.
Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time.
1 Peter 5-6

A choice, not a feeling. Many, many choices in fact – ones I find excruciatingly hard to make. But I’ve witnessed the power of prayer especially strongly recently, so Lord I pray you teach me humility and forgive my pride. There is a lot of it. But your grace is sufficient, amen.

And I have been thinking less! The problem I have with thinking is that it appears satisfactory – an issue is intuitively dealt with primarily by thinking, and then as an afterthought by prayer. Not that thinking is ungodly or anything, just that it can become an idol if it starts to remove the necessity of bringing everything to God in prayer.
